On your review of the AC200MAX, you said you were using the a battery charger off of the AC outputs on the AC200MAX to charge your 48v battery bank and then using it to charge the external battery packs (B230s). Wouldn't it be more efficient to just use the battery power blocks to charge the B230s directly from the AC200MAX with the overpaneling that you are using and skip the extra steps to the other battery bank?

Has anyone else done this with their AC200P?

That's true actually. I could try that. Fun idea.

My ac200max was actually feeding into my larger system because of how much it produced. So having the loop was nice. But yes, I could have done it that way.

I’m considering the ac200max hooked up to a MTS with 4 critical 120v circuits (a fridge, a few outlets and my gas steam heat ignition/thermostat ). Instead of figuring out an ATS solution for when I’m away, do you think its safe to just make the manual switch to the battery while I’m gone? Does the 200max support simultaneous charging from the grid (off the main panel) while powering my MTS sub panel?
