Its a daly 250amp 16s 48v smart bms
My charge controller is a growatt spf 6000t dvm
20 230 watt solan blu panels

Iv had alot of issues getting to this point. I just wired my BMS and I'm ready to bench test everything before I tie into my solar and top balance.
Is there a way to activate my daly smart bms without connecting it to a charger or my inverter?
I'm currently off grid on lead acid thats on its last legs and don't want to modify my wires to the battery till I know everything checks out 1st.
I know many would say just hook it up. But thats not a option till I see that what I have is stable and working. I've faught through to many bad components that where suppose to be new and have to run on this till my 16 matching replacement cells come. Im not even sure this is a real daly bms. Thankyou and God bless.
P.s. I did do a couple searches with no definitive answers to be found.

Tried again and again everything I read in the other threads. And all of the sudden it kicked on.

The black dot next to the word bluetooth on the bluetooth dongle is supposed to be the reset switch.

to turn on any daly bms have one of this whit your batteries. it got a on/off switch :) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353462474685?var=622687134055
Daly within the past two months has started selling their Bluetooth dongle with a built in reset switch.

If you Bluetooth module has a black dot at the end of the word Bluetooth, that's the reset switch.
It also doesn't work on all models. As is normal for Daly, it may or may not work, and it may or may not come with one.
Daly is very consistently inconsistent.

is it this dot??

Edit: worked in mine..and mine doesnt have a smart bms tag

Yes, that's the one.
I'm sure Daly had a lot of returns simply due to the Bluetooth timeout, and difficulty activating. I think they added this to help prevent that.
On my Dalys, there is no reset on the Bluetooth dongle, nor is any wired to the Bluetooth connector.

Daly remains, consistently inconsistent. Poor quality control and poor documentation don't help.

And expensive.
The price of daly can buy 2 Ant bms..seriuosly considering Ant or Jbd for my next install

Do all Daly BMSs need to be manually reset? I need to run my BMS unattended to protect low voltage, but automatically restart when it's charged up again.
Will it do that without shorting the 2 cables?
