I have a JK-B2A8S20P with 2 amps of active balancing. I'm curious what people prefer as far as the active balance voltage range? Do I keep it active most of the time to keep the cells in line or do I cut it off below a particular voltage?

I have just mocked up my 8S 280ah EVE pack. I top balanced, and am now in the process of doing the draw down capacity test which is almost complete. Through the bulk of the test the deviation has been in the .003-.007 range with balancing off, but now as it approaches the bottom it is rising to .085 and undoubtedly continuing to climb. I guess I am kind of wondering about keeping the voltage set low enough to keep it active all the time to keep the cells balanced?

Here's the end of my discharge with balance off. #1 gave up plenty early.

Whatever works keeps the cells balanced, running at conservative voltage max and min ratings? If you can keep them equalized at a conservative max charge, at the same low max volts, wouldn't that be fine?

I started a new thread about using EQ function on my Midnite Classic 150 charge controller. Conservative settings with active balance set to enable above daily setting Run a periodic charge to say 99% capacity to hit active balance levels.
