I am currently running a 4 x 6v lead acid battery setup wired in series and parallel at 220ah per battery and using a 3000w inverter. I am wondering if it would be work switching this setup to a 24v system up from 12v. Would there be any benefit ?

If you are running anywhere close to the 3000 watts, I would say that the lower current (less heating loss) would be worth something.

If you really are pulling over say 2kW or if your batteries are even a few feet from your inverter it might be worth it. Of course, if you do you will need a 24V inverter and a way to charge at 24V. And a 12V converter for all devices that are intended for 12V.

Do you have solar panels on the RV?
