I purchased a solar pump from Alibaba and want to give it a trial run. The pump is supplied by Taifu and the build quality looks pretty good, the controller looks okay, it seems to be a generic that I've seen pretty much everywhere when it comes to Chinese supplied systems.
The question I have is what the recommended PV array for a 500 w pump is?
8 X 85 W Panels with a peak voltage of 17-18 v and a VOC of 21-22v (four panels in series in two strings connected in parallel).
However, the controller specifies MAX VOC of a 100v and rated current of 10 Amps.
So my idea would be to install two 340w panels with a VOC of 46.2 and IMP 0f 9.06 in series, which is technically within the limits of the controller?
