Hi all,

i’m New to solar with need to electrify 60 articulated bus/RV conversion. I just purchased 8 Trina 410 watt 51.2 volt Solar panels.

Model: TSM-410-DE15H(II)
144 cells
DC/Charger Volt Compatible 12v, 24v, 48v
Rated Power Output 410 W
Voltage (VOC)51.2V
Cell TypeMonocrystalline

I a mounting 4 panels on front roof and 4 panels on back roof. (wired: 8 * 410 = 3280 watts / 51 volts)

I am considering a All in one Growatt charger/inverter model SPF3500ES or SPF5000ES. Specs say it is 48vdc and has max input of 4500 PV watts.

Battle born said I probably would need 10 100AH 12 volt batteries. That’s a lot of money.

I like Growatt’s ability to output 230vac directly from solar panels without a battery. I’m sure I could simply convert 230 vac to 120 vac. That means I only need battery storage for night use (ignoring ugly grey days when I don’t work well anyway).

I am also looking at Gyll lifepower LI4 51 volt 100aH 5120 watt batteries.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

thanks!
