air flow (cooling) direction for powmr 100Amp SCC?

just installed a 100a powermr charge controller, all working good... but...

Noted that when the fans kick in the air is sucked from the two TOP fans and pushed down and out of the lower side vents

I thought that normal convention would be to suck "cool" air in from the lowest point of equipment around the bottom/sides and blow out the top.

mine seams to be blowing air the wrong way going against heat convection principles of hot air rises

any thoughts?

That’s common on a lot of this equipment my mpp aio units have the same design you could install it upside down maybe

The general consensus (even among rabid custom PC water cooling freaks) is that convection currents are very weak and easily overcome by fans. If it works better system-wise to push air the "wrong" way, just do it.
