Sorry if this is stupid question to ask but, thanks to some earlier replies to another post I now understand what 2 series 2 parallel is and I have just changed setup to this and checked my voltages all good.
However when I was on my roof I then got to thinking does it matter which panels are in series when you have different angles?
On my setup I have 4 panels in 2 rows, The back panels I can increase the angle and get the required 35 to 45 degree depending on season however the front 2 panels I can only get an angle of around 10 degrees. The panels are facing south however I have a large tree in the garden which is directly south facing therefore I get shade on all panels.
My question is at the moment I have my panels on the east side connected in series and my west side panels in series. However the front panel on each west and east is at 10 degrees while the other is at the 38 degrees.
Therefore whats provides more output angle or shade?
If I understand correctly then I best to have 2 panels in direct sunlight instead of one panel in sunlight and one shaded.
Thank you in advance
