So I have been looking into adding solar to my shed....
Some background:
- 18 x 10 Shed - insulated
- I have a 20amp power hookup from the house..
- I have a need to run a small AC that draws about 450W
- I also run multiple fans and humidification equipment for my mushroom grow chamber - Its a dedicated room that is in the shed

What I am looking for is a setup that would allow me to get power from the solar/battery but when battery is at a certain level I would like to switch over to house power.
I have been watching videos and with a little knowledge that I have I am not sure how large of a system I will need..

I looked at this page https://www.mobile-solarpower.com/all-in-one-solar-power-packages.html
and I think that 24 V system is what I would need but going thru videos I still have some questions....

This is what I think I need:
MPP 24v 2.4kW PIP
Panels: I am assuming I can connect 12v or 24v? as long as it does not go over 1000w? and how many should I start with... I can probably put a few on the roof of the shed
Battery: https://www.mobile-solarpower.com/sealed-lead-acid-batteries.html - I will probably get two 100Aamp... I am not sure if thats an overkill or not...

Is there anything else I need?
Thanks

You can only connect 24v- that refers to the batteries. some of the 24V mpp units do 2000w of solar. You should also check out the panels which you wish to buy- its cheaper to buy in bulk, and its also cheaper if you get larger panels.

I am on FLD- was on 4, now on 2, and switching over to NMC, as soon as I can figure out some battery pack details. Depending on how hard you want to ride your batteries, but lead acids don't like to be ridden too hard or too deep. Doing so shortens their life significantly.
