Any experience with TEWAYCELL 280Ah cells?

It is the Aliexpress platform that is taking care of taxes. I can confirm that they do a pretty good job for the EU with taking care of custom duties and VAT. But if I'm correct the same applies to the Docan store. Or at least I recall them calculating the VAT in the order.

Thanks for that, they didn't when I asked for a quote, and the vat and duty and picking up from a port seemed to add about £450 to the overall with my rough calculations, making the cost per cell about £135 for 16 cells.

I ordered from tewaycell and i'm not sure if they're ok, i ordered 8 x 310ah cells and they're swollen, i'm not sure how much swelling is acceptable for new grade A cells, but they seem like B grade maybe.
Can anyone tell me from the pics? I measured a single cell at 72mm, the 8 are 597 so divided by 8 is 74.625, an average swell gap of approx 2.625mm, actually a bit more because i divided for 7 gaps. Is a mm or two swelling on each side normal for grade A new cells? Or did i get ripped off?

There are many people that have gotten very slightly swollen cells from reputable companies. These cells do not look all that bad, but I won't make a judgement on their quality.

Although I purchased cells from Tewaycell, I do not condone their practice of selling these as 310ah (or 320ah at other stores). There is no such thing and they are likely 304ah or 302ah cells, so temper your expectations if you do a capacity test.

My general rule is to not buy from companies that lie up front about their product. There aren't any 310 ah cells manufactured, they're 302 or 304 that they're calling 310 for advertising purposes. If they lie about that, what else are they lying about?

I appreciate that a lot, i only pulled 301ah

An update, The qr code reads they are 302ah and that they were manufactured in 2019, plus they arrived slightly swollen, i was annoyed and assumed they were used. I mean, do cells get manufactured and sit around for 3 years? I assume not?
Also during the capacity test, i feel like i could have got 305ah or a little more, but it was 1 cell that dipped more than the rest, so i stopped the test when a cell hit 2.5v

Yeah, a few more charge and discharge cycles and you should be good.

I guess if they were made right on the tail end of 2019 it's plausible they have been sitting new and unused, but 3 years is a long time. I never pulled the codes on the 280ah cells I got from them. I'll have to check next time I'm around them.
