Does anyone know if I qualify for and tax credit or anything like that for my expenses involved with building my off-grid system?
I'm running a 6500W residential roof-mounted system that I decided not to grid-tie, but instead run most of my upstairs appliances (2 * home office, 2 * AC units), generating about 25kWh/day, and tied into a 15kWh battery bank. The only log I have of my power generation/consumption is my Victron 250/100 MPPT, and some inline volt/amp meters showing power in/out of the battery bank.
I know about the credits you can get and "sell" for power generation, but I think that might only be if it's grid-tied? What about a tax credit for the ~$7000 I spent on the system?
Any info/links would be most appreciated! Thanks in advance!
