Looking to see if anyone has gotten EG4 LL-S batteries and EG4 LifePower4 V1 batteries communicating with an EG4 6000XP inverter (or a 12K or 19k or the 12000XP).
I've updated my two older LL-S batteries with the latest multipack firmware and have them and two new LL-S batteries showing up in the 6000XP inverter. I have the newest LL-S batteries on the top of the rack and then the 2 older LL-S batteries. I have a fifth battery at the bottom that is a LifePower4 V1 battery. I've successfuly updated the LifePower4 V1 battery with the latest firmware (version 3.4). I'm using a modified communication cable with just pins 7 & 8 for communication between the 4th LL-S battery and the LifePower4 V1 battery. The pins on the LifePower4 are set to On/Off/On/Off for module 5.

The LifePower4 V1 is still not communication with the other batteries and the inverter. If someone has had success, perhaps they can help me and others.

I don't know if this is anything but it looks to me that the EG4 switch setting for ID6 looks wrong to me in this link. Shouldn't be switch 1 and 3?

The pin settings for the LifePower4 V1 batteries are different from the other batteries, so the schematic should be right. That said, I have not seen anyone that has yet to fix a problem of this nature with the help of Signature Solar and EG4. Not sure either one of them has tested a configuration of LL-S batteries with LifePower4 V1 batteries. You would think EG4 would have done that before releasing firmware but it’s not obvious to me that they did.

Actually I stated it wrong. I'm thinking ID6 should be 2 & 3 not 1 & 3. The pictorial shows 1 & 4 and yet for ID5 it shows 1 & 3 which is normal for a 8-4-2-1 switch..... No?

Edit: I just checked the manual and the pictorial is incorrect for ID6 but your ID5 is correct..

I misplaced my LifePower4 V1 manual and could not find one on EG4 website. I did find the following from a search. These pin settings are different than the LL pin settings and tend to agree with ID6 in EG4 example

Hi @bhbaker220! If you'd like, I can get you reconnected with our tech team and get your issue escalated to find a solution with you!

If this has been resolved can you please post the solution? I am hitting the same issue, and I have been back and forth with SS and EG4 now for about 3 weeks. I think we have tried everything possible, and still not communicating. I only am seeing the LL-S's I have in my bank, but not the Lifepower4 V1.

No resolution yet. SignatureSolarJess was supposed to have someone from Signature Solar reach out to me this week but only crickets thus far. From the other posts, my guess is there is no resolution at EG4 and they never tested the LifePower4 V1 because they are so caught up in supporting the newer batteries.
If I don’t resolved tomorrow, I’m going to ask for a warranty claim as the battery is not compatible with other batteries.

I will need to do the same, this battery is only a year old and only had 2 charge cycles. I have spoken with both Signature Solar and EG4 and they both assure me that it is possible to do what we are asking.

I have access to LLs, I'll try to get it and try LLs and LP4v1 on my end.

I'm so sorry! Let me double-check that the request went through to the team! You will hear from us today!

The team has been trying to call but cannot get through. They have left you a message and will try again but if you'd like to call them back at 903-441-2090, you they will be ready to take your call :)

I just again walked thru the painful exercise of updating all of my LL-S batteries with the Multi-Pack Firmware. When completed and restarted the system my 6000xp is showing W004 error "Battery Status Check". As soon as I revert back to the latest firmware, the batteries are again communicating. I will continue to follow this thread in hopes that I can also get a positive resolution.

Are you speaking with tech as well?

Just to clarify, you installed the multipack firmware on all the batteries including the Lifepower4?

Jess, Yes I am working with an Tech as well. I was just given the steps of update the LL-S batteries to the Multipack FW; Remove Pins 3&6 on Network cable; update Lifepower4 with firmware 3.4; update my 6000xp and change battery to Lithium and type 1. Still not communicating.

shared your post with someone that I know uses LLs and LP4 on the same system.

Have you tried Lithium type "0"?

Are you able to post pictures of the batteries and how they are connected?
Only the 4 LL-S batteries are recognized. Dip switches per the LL-S and LifePower4 V1 manual.

I was previously able to get the LifePower4 V1 recognized with my 2 older LL-S batteries before I upgraded the firmware.

It is pins 7 & 8 only. I plugged in the Lifepower4 V1 as the master with all other batteries off. The LCD screen on 6000XP shows 100 AH and the phone app show the same along with voltage and SOC but the web based monitoring app does not show the battery. The battery is able to charge just fine by itself. I don’t think it worked correctly even when I originally had it hooked up the the EG4 3k inverter as it never showed the available AH left on the battery.
