I ordered a DIY case and 16 of the EVE A grade Cells, Pace BMS and 5A Active balancer. Heat pad also, but wont hook up in current location, just wanted to see what it looks like. May make a good pet bed otherwise??? (dont do this

)
Interaction with Gobel seemed a bit sketchy at first, however the same person kept replying and answering all my questions, and I had MANY. I decided to proceed and paid via Paypal so I had some assurances. I was contacted that an error was made on shipping, roughly $15 USD. I asked for more detail and advised that I consider this very alarming. The amount was quite small compared to the total, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt, we all make mistakes.
Tracking of the ship was provided, I understand these batteries will absolutely never go by air unless camouflaged as not batteries. Accept that you have to wait 6-10 weeks. Once the shipment reached land and was with local couriers, Gobel proved the new tracking number promptly, and I could see it making its way to me. It arrived within a few days, all packages in great condition.
battery build was an experience but went well, Just be very very careful and treat these with the respect they deserve, especially when linking them in parallel and voltage gets up to 48v.
make sure you buy the silicon thermal adhesive ahead of time so its ready as soon as the batteries arrive. Torque wrench is essential, you want it to be 100% reliable. Positive cable placement in the instructions was not ideal, I found a better fitting orientation which I saw Andy (Off Grid Garage chap) replicate a month later during the latest Gobel DIY box build. Other than that, follow the instructions and if you are not sure which part goes where, read ahead, it may give you the critical piece of info 10 pages down - I needed this for the negative cables.
The 50mm squared DC cables that came with it are spectacular
I contacted the same person when I had questions on the build or when setting it up and connecting to the inverter CAN BUS. When that person did not have the answer, one other person contacted me promptly with the exact bit of info I needed.
System was installed and connected, running now for almost a month and performing very well. Exceeds the advertised Ah - 280, will deliver 300 ah+ if pushed but still remained at voltage above the cutoff on the spec sheet. I have it set to about 260 Ah
I am not sure I would pay by wire transfer in one large sum, perhaps split in to smaller chunks with confirmation of each receipt, painful for all involved but safer by limiting loss to one of the small chunks. I prefer Paypal otherwise if doing it in one single payment.
Battery easily handles discharges of up to 7Kw, I have it limited to that with the default settings.
My experience, 100% positive, they delivered exactly what was ordered and it performs exactly as expected. The Active balancer is essential, the Pace BMS was struggling to keep up and balance in time before the pack was consumed lower than the shut off voltage.
My advice is to ask questions, be a bit patient, learn about the batteries and packs from Andy + others, you tube is a gold mine of info. And then make the order once you have outlined clearly exactly what you want, and have them confirm it back to you.
Pace BMS is working well, your choice what you get, but the beauty of DIY if you don't like it you can spend a bit of cash and get a different BMS.
If you have trouble connecting a PC to the BMS, set the Baud to the highest value - 115000 or something like this, its up there.
