APC Smart-UPS 1500VA with LiFePO4 Batteries

Software works, FYI, for the larger UPS units (business units) you need the business version of the software.

What batteries are you using if you don't mind me asking?

I have a 1500 unit charging sad Miady 16Ah batteries now. Current meter shows 1.27 Amps while at 26.7Volts.
Thanks for posting all your details! I'm about to grab a cheap used 1500 unit, and already have some of the Miady batteries to do the same as you!
I hooked them up in series (not recommended)
Curious, why not? Is that the suggestion from Miady or elsewhere?

Hi, I just want to let you know that I just did this. You will need high quality LiFePO4 batteries for this that support connecting them in series and have an advanced BMS that allows for the batteries to function as drop-in replacement of SLA/AGM batteries. Do not use cheap LiFePO4 batteries with a bad BMS. For details, see the video description.

This works. But I'm not a fan of putting BMS's in series. The SOC's drift apart. And require periodic maintenance.
One battery, one BMS. Turn it on and forget about it for 20 years.
