Good for you for finally taking this step! It's way easier than you think! If you wired a BMS before, this would be a walk in the park. If not, it's still very very easy, just follow the wiring instructions and pay attention to the torque specs and you're fine!Just ordered the battery case kit, and 16 EVE LF304 3.2V 304Ah Lifepo4 Battery Grade A HSEV cells. If their warehouse is in Katy as someone said, it's only 10-15 miles from my office. Hopefully I can pick it up Monday. I'm nervous as heck, never built a battery pack before.
You got the assembled battery? I have to learn a lot. I believe I've read that the individual cells should be balanced as close as possible before assembly? I assume that means to the same voltage. If so I don't have anything that charges 3.2v!!Yes it’s on the west side of Houston just off I-10 Katy freeway. They had tons of boxes of batteries there.
If you are using the jk bms with 2a balancing no need to faff about with individual cells just hook them up and off You go.You got the assembled battery? I have to learn a lot. Those 304Ah cells are basically the highest grade available and def dont need special treatment. You got the assembled battery? I have to learn a lot. So assemble and charge? Hopefully the battery box kit has a good (understandable) translation to english. Looking forward to another project. Those 304Ah cells are basically the highest grade available and def dont need special treatment.
Just make sure the two sense wire harness connections are connected exactly as shown. So assemble and charge? Hopefully the battery box kit has a good (understandable) translation to english. Looking forward to another project.
That nail on top is trying to get into the hole and escape! It's not hard.

Are you doing closed loop or open loop? After I ordered the kit, I've been seeing the JK PB2A16S20P BMS has some issues.Still no joy getting the lp4 v2 to talk at the same time. Anyone got the list of lithium battery types on the 18kpv or have any ideas? I have tried both the lp4 v2 as the host battery and as the slave battery but it only sees the host.
I tried both. And both work, however I cannot get the lp4 v2’s and the Apexium to play together. Just started a new thread about it. Also I didn’t get the kit but the ready built one.Are you doing closed loop or open loop? After I ordered the kit, I've been seeing the JK PB2A16S20P BMS has some issues.
I have not seen the other thread, but I believe the EG4 batteries will not communicate in parallel with another manufacture battery since it is a custom protocol.I tried both. When you start putting everything together, make sure the box is near its final resting place. It's very heavy and difficult to move once you put all the cells in.Picked up package today. Everything was well packed and appears in good shape. I'll start assembly this weekend.
This is the box I got It has wheels. Unfortunately it will not be in it's permanent location for a few months. I have a hand truck that I will strap it to for easy moving until then. When you start putting everything together, make sure the box is near its final resting place. They have a cart that you can use to stack the boxes like four high. I went with that and it's working great.
Which BMS does your battery run? I got the JK with active cell balancing. So far it seems awesome. You can see it reading the highest and lowest cell and then balancing them. Then it looks for the next highest and lowest etc. It seems like it should maintain the cells very close to each other with no need to manually top balance.I bought the pre built 15kwh version. Buyers beware. At 56v’s I had 350mv difference in my cells with 1 cell over 3.7v. Speaking with Allen I was told it’s expected and fully functional. I would not recommend doing business with him. I’ve been jumping through hoops for several days with him. I guess it’s up to me to fix.
