Hi,
I recently bought the Neey active balancer gen 4 but I can't get it to find the balancer with either the Apple ios or Android. Downloaded the app Gewee bms from appstore on APPLE and version 3,1 from Github for Android.

I can find the balancer in Bluetooth settings on Android but the Neey app does not find the balancer. Any idea to revolve the isue someone?

It may be that it’s actually there but you need to just tap on the right spot. It’s not going to show in iOS settings(invisible), Bluetooth but actually it opens from the app. hope this helps

From a review I posted on Amazon last year, yes the info from the manufacturer is poor;

There’s a new app for IPhone that allows the
"StartequalizationVol"feature. It has a new
title in the app store"GeeWe BMS" If you
have the old app on the phone you need to
delete and replace, don't update it with the
new one. To change the installed app to
English, open the app, click on the three
dots, then the gear, then the lower line of
chicken scratch, now the circle/English.
Restart the phone and it should now be in
English. To begin: open the app, tap the
three Lines, tap scan, tap on the results/
model on the top left. Now you are ready to
fill out the settings if you have it wired
correctly. When done, tap run and it will go
through testing before running/or till
parameters you set are in range to balance.
If you have the older version balancer, the StartequaliztionVol line simply won’t take.

Actually I can see the app seaching in both Apple IOS and in Android, but neither find the balancer. Light are flashig Blue on the balancer, but nothing happens. ?

In the app you actually tapped on “scan”, and no model number shows in the top left?

The only time I’ve not been able to connect is if it was already on another device. Perhaps something else is jamming that band(another short range Bluetooth device nearby). Can you move your battery to another location? Other than that, the Neey may be a dud since it won’t fire up on Android or iOS and it seems you have done your due diligence.

The strange thing is, I dowloaded a Bluetooth check app from play store and it did connect and paired with PIN 123456

The simple solution was not to buy a new phone, which I did, it was to turn on positioning (location service) in Android. Problem solved, except it is not possible to set Sleep voltage and equalisation voltage. The balanser beeps but the setting disapear.

Try these numbers, if it’s in the wrong order, it won’t take. I also won’t save the the numbers if it’s not a 4th generation; IMG_1346.png

How can I find out what generation it is except what you just wrote? I paid for generation 4. I can not set start Volt lower than 0,005 I guess I have benen screwed by the company

This balancer are the best on the market I have heard, and it really Come to shine when balancing SOK batteries crapy passiv balancer and BMS. EXCEPT for this flows, my SOK batterie are finaly balanced.

This is an old screenshot that I found and everything worked back then except capacity could not be set which didn’t seem to effect functionality. I have both old and 4th generation Neeys but neither are currently connected since the Daly bms fail and they have all been replaced with JK bms’s. The Neey is a superior balancer. Looks like you have the latest version. Now I don’t have a clue what’s wrong. I’m wondering if they fowled up the latest app software?
