So I've got 7 of these batteries for a 24v 7s system:

I've seen David pos video on it, but it doesn't seem to work for me. Some of the leads were cut too short, and don't stick out far enough for it to reach the blocks. They may reach if I cut the plastic, but then I'm concerned about it touching the metal body on the module and shorting if the other side of the module touches it.

So I thought I should try something else .. I folded the leads over each other so that if one is shorter, I could ensure a strong connection to it, and create a bulkier lead to clamp onto.

Now, I have this other battery that I got from big battery, which also uses pouch cells, but the cells seem to be crimped together with bus bars. I'm thinking maybe I can do the same, but I have no idea what kind of crimp that is.

Another idea, I've had is to simply drill a hole into them, and use really small nuts and bolts to connect, a ribbon, or sheet metal, or something to make bus bars and connect them together (my strongest idea if crimping isn't an option.)

Has anyone used these cells, and found a good way to connect them?

i drilled small 10-24 screw holes and used 1" square aluminum tubing between cells

That's what I tried to do at first. (David Poz's method) but 3 out of 7 had leads that were too short to reach the block, so I'm looking for other ways to make it work

i also had several that were too short for screws and just sandwiched copper plates

So I went and purchased small hinges and screws. The screws are also small enough that I could drill
holes into the leads, and connect wires straight to it if needed. (I just don't like making permanent changes if I can avoid it).

What should I use as bus bars to connect the modules? What size wires should I use?

Or I could use longer screws, and connect both leads, using the screws itself as the bus bars?

Guys, I'm kind of on my own here. If I'm screwing up, let me know~
