Hi everyone, not sure if this is a newbie question but here it is.
I have 2 strings installed on the roof, a 7 panel string and a 3 panel string ( all JA solar 385w). Both go into a dual mppt inverter (solis). There are no optimzers installed and i really want to avoid going onto the roof.
The 3 panel string suffers from large shading after 4pm and historically, only generates about 60w after this.
I would like to add some more panels that would face in the opposite orientation and probably generate more in the evenings.
I am just wondering if there is a automated timer switch, ideally "off the shelf" that could switch strings into the mppt at a certain times, or do I just get another inverter and wire that in?
