Thinking about how to put together a 16s2p LiFePo4 2x280Ah pack with a Batrium shunt. Each string has it's own K9 to monitor. I'm trying to work out if it's better to tie the two strings together close to the battery and then put the shunt on the negative terminal right there (I could use wire or a bus-bar between the packs although the shunt would probably not be a symmetric distance between the two) or to pull both strings out to a terminal bus bar with equal length wire and then connect the shunt to that but it might be say 4 feet away from the batteries themselves.

Does it not really matter or is one method preferred over the other?
