Perhaps a rookie question....

I have a pretty sweet Lifepo4 battery cart as I prepare for the replacement of my horrible SLA bank. I'm running Batrium with the Watchmon Core, (2) K9s, and shuntmon.

Shuntmon appears to be good, but doesn't show a charge. I'm just using a benchtop charger to top them off after sitting. I'm talking 5 Amps or so, but I don't see any incoming current. I should, right?

Displays voltage fine, the A and the W show small # of milivolts. Ideas?

What kind of charger are you using? Although SLA batteries and LiFePO4 batteries can temporarily share chargers in some cases...but, better not. I'm guessing this is your case. Maybe you can find inspiration in LiFePO4 battery charging.

The Lifepo4 is completely independent of the SLA at this point, haven't converted... still building. I just have a bench top charger I set for 58.0 volts on the Lifepo 4, just to bring it up as I have had a slow build since top balancing. I brings up the voltage, appears to have added to the capacity as it now says 560.623 but I set if for 560.

I'm not crazy right? the ShuntA should show input Amps right? Is 5 Amps just too low?

When I was testing my system my shuntmon would read small amounts of watts going in.

Are you sure the batteries are taking that 5 amps? If they are the same voltage as the charge current - you could be not charging.

Maybe drain the bank a bit - and then recharge (I think the batteries like that better anyway).

Good luck!
