I've never known one of these to work that way.

Either it is an assumption based on voltage or has been programmed wrong for the capacity.

What specific device do you know to work that way by its documentation?

I believe my Renogy controller sets it's calibration off historical data. I will find confirmation. Brb.

Ok. I think I may have been mistaken. It seems that it is my bmv monitor that bases it's reading off historical data. I cannot find a confirmation that my charge controller works this way. I apologize for the possible misinformation. I guess it's been too long since I read my documentation
