Battery backup for grid loss.

I’m possibly looking at grid boss, flex boss system just as a buffer for short power outages.
My thought is I can run different loads off the smart ports so I don’t overload the system
What have others done?
Solar may come latter but not initially.
Possible load requirement would be about 8Kmax peak. But not for hours and hours.

This whole site is essentially battery backup systems.

Add a critical loads subpanel,

Move the loads your want to power over to it
Add your choice of inverter and the amount is better you want.


If you size the system right you can even do whole home backup,

Or you could go the lazy way like some are doing and backup your 200a panel with a 50a inverter - I don't know how that makes sense but people do it.

I use that setup at my house with 3 powerpro batteries. With the loads I run on my critical loads panel I average about 40% discharge over a 17-18 hour period.
