Battery Balancer needed?

Hey Guys, thank you for helpping me out with this uestion, I will wire in series to 2 - 12.8 v batteries to make 1 - 24v battery. I will then in parallel anther set to create 2 - 24v batteries. With this setup do I need a battery balancer? If so, do I need to buy 2 balancers for each set of 2 batteries or can I buy 1 that handels 4 batteries?

Either. You can put a balancer on each string, or you can use one balancer for the entire bank.
