I'm building a battery box. That can be charged with house current or solar.
Have design ideas from watching videos from Will Prose, David Proz and many others.

Planning on using

3.2v 25ah Lifepo4 Topband Navitas Prismatic when they get back in stock.

Dimensions: 7 1/8 x 2 3/4 x 1 ⅛ 66g each.
I have not located busbars. Not sure if I should make some or use battery to battery cables.
Looks like busbars would be cheaper.

TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 22 in. Medium Tool Box D x W x H = 14X21X12 Interior space is about an inch smaller. Should give me plenty of space.

Or split it into two smaller boxes, or even a medium and a small. Would be easier to transport.

I will have a better idea when the batteries arrive. Some people mount the inverter and charger on the outside.
Not the best look bus will save space. Most likely I will mount them inside.
They will have a fan and fan controller to limit heat build up.

The total system build would be 32 batteries.
Planning on going with a 24v system.

I like the idea of two boxes so they can be expanded.
Box one would have everything including some batteries.
Box two would be just batteries. For greater Wh, the max load I need is 2000W.

These boxes can even lock together.

For BMS I have looked at mobile-solarpwer.com. Will Prowse thanks for posting all this on your site together, it's very helpful.

The hardest part for me is designing the BMS setup for this many cells. Since it's being split into two boxes that could be 16 and 16 cells..
That would be 2 times the picture below in each box.

Any inputs or suggestions are welcomed.

@Torben J Don't you hate it when no one replies? here is a battery box that works prefect for 16 - 3.2 25a topband @ 12v 100ah batteries, I have a spare and they are not cheap. Joe Shipping is $22 for 1 and $5 for any extra ones you buy.

Joe,

Very nice. I will let you know. Got to measure my batteries. How do you keep heat from building up in the box?

Never have over 25-amp discharge and 15 amps charge, this 12v is emergency backup to my larger 380a agm that is also fed by 48v system via Victron orion 48v to 12.3v dc-dc isolated Buck converter. Dimensions on box at website below.
I'm selling extra box for 50 and new unopened 12v 100a Lifepo4 4s JBD bms for 80, exactly what's in the picture -- bus bars and batteries.
