Im planing to replace our current 12V system with a 24 V set up that is installed in an outbuilding - we have lots of shade around the cabin. Its semi open but also built into the earth completely on the north side & partly buried on the east. Its an old stone construction open to the south, original built to house beehives, so its ideal for solar as it gets lots of sun in the winter. The current installation stays about 5c less than ambient during summer & probably +5 during winter. Summer maximum is around 37 & winter can see - 7 or less, but the trend is warmer...... So battery choices ? FLA or AGM ? I would like to try LFP, but I'm not sure ? Another issue here is availability, we just don't have the choice like the UK or USA, but we can get the Li Time 12V 200AH with self heating. So what about running 2 in parallel ? Our maximum daily use will be1.5Kwh & I'm looking at 2 x 600 W 24 Volt panels. The Li time sells for €500 7 there's nothing even close to that price here. Or should i be looking at a 12V battery bank ?
Edit. i meant to say 2 12volt in series, not parallel. Availability of 24 V batteries is limited.

You can run as many in parallel as you'd like with the proper safety equipment. I went with self built LiFePO4 batteries and I'm happy with my decision but I'm running a 48v system.

Self built is a little beyond my comfort zone at the moment but the biggest barrier is finding a reputable vendor for the cells & BMS. DIY isnt as big here in Spain, like the UK or USA. It might be the 12V is a better bet & run 2 or more in paralell.
