Battery cut off switch mounted against carpet????

Hi all,

I am installing a lithium battery in a friends camper and replacing two lead acid batteries. The camper already had a cut off switch installed that could switch between either battery mounted in the bedroom. The switch does not have a closed back and it was mounted into the carpet where the bed comes up. This seems like a fire danger to me. Am I being paranoid?

Am I being paranoid

The cables don't seem adequate for battery isolation and the crimps could be better.
Lithium batteries need class T or MRBF ( if a 12v system).

Maybe it goes to a relay ??
