Thinking about upgrading my battery terminal connectors... I am using 1,4 & 8 ga wires. Looking for a clamp that I can put all in with just stripping the ends. Should I stay away from these types of connectors and stick with the crimp on? Just wondering what people are using and any recommendations pros & cons -
Thanks.

One reason to go with crimp on lugs is that they're sealed (many of them are) which prevents oxidation of the wires. If you use an open air clamp, the copper is subject to oxidation.

If you're not experienced with crimping lugs or don't have the equipment, I can see why you would consider alternative connectors. I had never crimped anything bigger than about a 14 gauge ring terminal before I started by PV/LiFePO4 install. Now I have no worries about crimping 4/0 lugs. It was much easier than I thought.
