Best Methods to Reduce Noise of String Inverter Mounted Outside?

Hey all,

So I commissioned my 18kPV last week and it's LOUD. It was temporarily mounted in the patio for my inspection, but I was going to eventually move it to the reverse side of the wall inside my house's utility closet. I definitely don't think that's a good idea now. The noise will be too loud for the inside. So now I'm returning the other 18kPV from my order and giving my used one to my mom for her upcoming solar project. I will be purchasing the GridBoss and FlexBoss for my house instead. This way, I will be able to move the FlexBoss to the complete opposite side of my house with the less expensive #2 wiring it requires (vs. two legs of 3/0 for the 18kPV).

So now my question -- how do you reduce the noise of an inverter that's mounted outside? I was thinking of putting it in one of these sheds like my water heater, but I'm not expecting it to reduce the noise that much: https://www.homedepot.com/p/HOLDRITE-24-in-Galvanized-Steel-Water-Heater-Enclosure-QS-E24/206035055

Has anyone built a custom shed with insulation or something?

I don't have that inverter so I can't provide any detailed recommendation. However, before jumping to another inverter, I would check what the decibel rating is between the two.

Expensive but completely silent in the house or even the the back yard.
