Big Battery 24v LifePo4 170ah Power Block operated in series?

I recently had to replace my 24v Outback Power inverter and decided to move up to a 48v system Problem is I have two Big Battery 24v LifePo4 Power Block batteries that I bought new in November 2020. How do I hook them up to run them in series for the 48v system. Thank you.

They sell a cable to series connect them. I would contact them first to make sure

Don't you need a balancer to run them in series? AFAIK big battery has very quietly STOPPED recommending the 24v units be run in series and removed it from their website w/o a word.
