I have ordered 16 of the 270AH cells from Michael's group buy, and want to spend some time over the next few months planning things out. I plan on building a 48V battery, to be housed in a pole barn in the U.P. of Michigan. The pole building is unheated, so it can get VERY cold. I plan on building a custom enclosure and using heating mats, but not sure how quite yet.
My initial question is: Are there any quality 16S BMS's that have a configurable relay linked to low temp disconnect?
I see many folks buying external modules like this:
I was wondering if any BMS's have this functionality built in, or perhaps that is a bad idea?
