I have my BMS (from LLT power) and am currently trying to figure out the best method of protecting it from damp. It is to live in the engine room on a boat.
Would a plastic box be acceptable, or am I likely to run into overheating problems? Any suggestions of slim enclosures welcomed. The BMS is approx 25mm thick. I would preferably require an enclosure not much bigger than this.
Secondly, should I mount the enclosed BMS between the batteries, or on the outside of the case. Again, thinking about heat and moisture.
