Bought a 9 year old Victron Phoenix Multiplus 24/3000 for $400. Good deal? Or waste of money

Craigslist find. Initial test is that it charges and inverts but I havent put any real load on it - just a 100W lamp and about 5 amps of charging current to old tiny little AGMs out of a APC UPS.

So what is the longevity of the Victrons? Especially this first generation of the Multiplus, for that matter can I even update the firmware on something this old?
The numbers on the main board sticker are:
PMP 24/3000
2021070053 (Firmware version?)
06130800006 (serial number?)

I needed a 24V for my basement testbench so I can restart my BYD module testing. Wanted a unified charger and test load since modifying my individual cell tester/cycler and load bank was proving to be a PITA.

It really wouldn't surprise me to see it still chugging along nicely in another 10 years time and they support their old stuff, so odds on there is updated firmware for it too.

Glad to hear it! From what I'm reading is the VEconfig is a lot easier to use in the newer versions of the firmware.
