I have 12 of the:
My hybrid inverter is an EG4 18k. They are wired in series and coming in on mppt input 1. On 2 sunny mornings that I have had I have got an over voltage alert and the inverter flips to GRID to cut off input of course to protect the overvoltage issue. (Also to note I have 3 EG4 powerpro batteries on the inverter for storage)
What is confusing about this is according to the spec of the panel I see this:
Maximum Power Current (Imp) 11.06A
Maximum Power Voltage (Vmp) 40.76V
Short Circuit Current (Isc) 11.60A
Open Circuit Voltage (Voc) 49.05V
Module Efficiency 20.2%
Power Tolerance 0~+5W 0~+5W 0~+5W
That should be 588.6 Volts Open ( No Load ) and 489.12 Volts ( Load ) Correct?
The EG4 18k on any MPPT input can handle 600 Volts. I was getting around 614 Volts peak from the panels in series on those two mornings.

Does that make any sense or do these panels actually output more than advertised? If so great but now I need to take one panel off or is there a better way?
