My plug-n-play lights are doing fine. They are adequate for my little off-grid cabin that is high in the mountains
BUT
I need to go longer between charging.

The self-discharge rate (worst case) is about 15% over six months for 18650 batteries (a local supplier is selling used
laptop batteries on the cheap which is about $0.17 / cell.

Please give me your advice.

I'm planning to build the case (planned on Zytel but will be E-Glas & W.E.S.T. Systems epoxy).
install the 3W ES6500 Luxeon star (3W @ 2.9V)
and install 72 - 18650 batteries.

On paper (sadly I'm not paper trained) the batteries should last about 5 months before recharge. I can be snowed-in so
I need at least 4 months between recharging. The batteries alone are about 6 2/3 lbs., and the entire light will be sub 8 lbs.
each... I won't be backpacking with these....

Your recommendation for wiring configuration, BMS, switch (OFF, LOW (separate very low power LED), ON, OFF).

I can build these if I get enough help with the recommendations (hey, what else am I gon'na do when the snow is deep,
and the winters are long?), and I'll do my best to post photos when I'm finished.
