I am connecting my 2 batteries in parallel straight to the bus bars instead of to eachother via + to + and - to -. My question is. I have a battery shutoff attached to the bus bar as seen in picture below. Do i need to attach the two + wires from the batteries to the same node as the shutoff wire is attached to on the buss bar or can I attach it to any of the positive nodes on the busbar? Also if I attach it to the open node on the busbar can i attached both of the positive wires to the same node?

Is the switch feeding the inverter or coming from the battery? I see the picture but don't see two battery cables.

I'd get 2 Bussmann breakers rated 1.25XAh rating of 1 battery. Put a breaker between each battery and the switch. Then from switch to busbar. This let's you isolate either battery and protects down stream wiring. The switch lets you isolate the total load.

Put the line to the switch on stud #3. Then put the lines from the batteries on studs #2 and #4. That should give both batteries equal access to the charge/load.
