I had someone DM me regarding some thread comments I made about this so I thought I'd just make a thread for it. This is my CALB 180Ah (CA180FI) build. Rather than build a rack mountable chassis, I just placed the cells on a heavy duty rack shelf.
Fuse block and BMS are bolted to the rack.
- Rack (I used the 18U model, cells and shelf take up about 8U with plenty of clearance on top)
- Shelf
- BMS
- Wire Raceway
- Fuse Block
- Fuse
- Distribution Blocks
- Terminal covers / caps
- Polycarbonate / Lexan sheets (3/8" on top, 1/8" on sides, would do 1/4" on sides if I did it again)
- Toggle Switch (enable / disable BMS discharge)
Fuse block and BMS are bolted to the rack.
