HI All

Looking for some collective wisdom..

Multiplus 12/3000/120-16 charging 2p4s Calb 163A cells with a daly smart BMS (250a)

Looking for the correct settings for charging the above batteries. I think it should be..

Absorption voltage - 14.6
Float 13.5
Charge Current -120 (I can adjust as needed)
Absorbtion time - ??
Repeated absorption interval - ??
Repeated absorption time - ??

Any ideas please? :)

Important to confirm your cell specs. Your numbers seem fine for typical LFP.

Absorption time needed should be minimal. Unfortunately, I think the minimum is 1h, so set it to that.

I would disable the repeated absorption intervals or set the interval to the max and the time to the min. This just applies to a battery in constant float. If you cycle it, it shouldn't come into play.

Thanks Snoobler..

Cells are CALB L173F163 - not much info on them.. the older models had fairly complete manuals these do not.. it does suggest 3.65v per cell so 14.6v and float according to the old cell manual of 13.6 max.. (old charging segment copied in as last picture below.. )

Specs are here https://www.solar4rvs.com.au/assets/brochures/L173F163B-326-Daly.pdf
