Was hoping to be able to use my AC200 as a back-up power unit for my gas furnace (it has a standard 3-prong 110V plug) if the power goes out. It only pulls 900W surge when the blower starts, and 500-550ish running. Well within the capabilities of the AC200.
In testing I found out the furnace expects the ground/neutral to be bonded. It throws a code for pressure switch out of range if they are not bonded.
The AC200 ground/neutral is not bonded, so the furnace shuts down w/o lighting.
I could bond them in the furnace, maybe on a switch (back-up/normal), but can't leave it that way on utility power.
I would rather not do anything to the furnace itself, and possibly figure out an adapter for use with the Bluetti.
Any ideas?
