I am Getting a Deye System installed based around a 12kw Three phase hybrid inverter to complement my existing 10kw solar system ( not a hybrid inverter) so I will have in total 22k of inverter with 26kw of panels connected to them)
I am having 2 x manual change over switches installed one for the majorty of the house circuits so I can swap them between the "backup" port of the inverter and the "grid" so if the inverter dies I can still have power to my house ( without having a electerician callout) - the house loads unless the inverter dies will remain connected to the backup port on the Deye while non critical loads will permantly stay on the "grid" side
and one change over switch where I can move my existing grid tied inverter to the Gen input port on the Deye incase of a extended blackout or if the export rules change here so I can keep using the power it produces ( as the Deye will work with grid tied inverters through the gen input port but I dont want to keep it there permantly only as it limits my export potential ) this is in case the export rules change ere or for extended blackout situations.
I will have approx 80kw/h of batteries connected to the Deye inverter I have read the Deye inverter manual back to back multiple times and I am still not clear on an answer to this. Can I set the Deye to import from the grid as the last alternative / option
I want to basically reduce my import from the Grid to zero whilst still exporting any excess solar. Unless I have several days of bad weather and the batteries + solar can not cover the load what mode would make this the default behaviour on the Deye inverter?
TLDR
I want to use to charge the batteries + cover and loads primarly off the solar + if that is not enough use the batteries + and only then to import from the grid as a last resort what would the settings / optons look like on the dete to make this happen?
