Can you use a standard 110Vac wall toggle switch for low amperage 12Vdc application?
Less than 1amp
My plan is to wire an off grid cabin for lighting using standard Romex 14/2 e26 bases with 12-48vdc led bulbs I found levington makes a 24vdc 3 amp rated switch but there $12 each
Also is there any reason to use 12/2 instead? each bulb draws .27amps and there would be a max of 3x on one switch.
I was thinking about the future if I ever want to run an 12vdc outlet off it or add an inverter & switch to 120vac outlets/lights
