Can you wire six 12v batteries to make 48 volts?

This may be an odd question but I have six, 12 V batteries and I’m thinking about going with a 48 V system, but I’m not sure if you can wire six of those batteries to get 48 bolts?

you can not wire 6 12v batteries to get 48v, you would get 72. You can wire 4 or 8 in series to get 48 though. Do a lot more reading and learning before you attempt anything to do with 48 volts

Yes you can 2s3p I believe.... But you really should give more information, as to what type of batteries these are, who makes them, what you want the voltage for, etc etc.

just use simple math to answer your question.... desired voltage divided by battery voltage gives you pack size... then you take multiple of that...

so 48/12=4
so you need 4, 8, 12, 24 - 12v battery for a 48v system

there is a lot of math for design a system, watts amps, wire size... start with Ohms law and go from there.
