Hello,
Thanks for looking. I have an existing 24 volt bank of batteries that is old and damaged, and together holds about 5200 watts - about ⅓ of what it was rated to hold
I have 4 new, 12v, 280 Ah batteries to be delivered this week. They'll be connected 2s2p, so 24v x 560AH.
Power supply is solar, exclusively. I'M slightly overpaneled - 6 x 300w, and 4 more I will add at morning & evening angles to lengthen the insolation curve.
I'd LIKE to keep the battery banks divided but use them together, charging one bank via solar and feeding the 'overflow' to charge the second bank. Is this possible, and is it advisable? If so, I need advice on what equipment to use.
A dc-dc charger? An automatic battery isolator?
