Cell post cleaning? Anodized post?

Hi all,

When I built a 8S battery with single-hole posts on the cells, I also used a bit of sandpaper to clean up the post and remove the alu-oxidation before adding paste when attaching busbars and cables.

Currently building a 16S battery with the double-hole posts and these posts appear to be slightly different material. The single post cells looked like bare aluminum, these look anodized. Or am I completely wrong there? Can someone confirm if they are and if so, do I still have use sandpaper?

Aluminum anodized is not conductive, so anyhow, sandpaper or scotch brite + no-ox-id is a must.

I used a small file until I got shiny aluminium surface.

I hesitate to put mg 847 or cw7100 paste, do you need a large quantity?
