Hi!
I just discover this forum few days ago, looking to make my own 48 LiFePo4 battery for a house. So this is my first post :)
First of all escuse about my English, is not as good as i want ;).

I have been searching arround the web but i did not find anything about horaizontal stacking of cells, for example 8 cells of 5.5 kg (like the ones of 280 Ah). All the photos i had seen are configured in a vertical way.

So,Is there any problem to use the cells one on anther till 8?

Thanks so much, Tomy from Spain.

i would not do it. try to manage this another way (with supports) ,it is not good for cooling anyway.

Thanks nosys70,

But, what about some people talking about to compress the cells to extend the battery life?
Do the cells really need cooling in a cooled room if the max current will be 0.75C?

If you do that you'll be compressing the bottom slightly and the top none at all. I'd probably compress and attach them properly before doing it for stability.
