Anyone have arguments for/against various cell manufacturers for a sailboat build? I'm just getting into basic planning but... I'm totally buying a boat!
(76 41' Morgan OI if all goes well!)

Edit: OK my question wasn't formatted well at all.
In particular I'm certain I'll build another lifepo4 pack. My curiosity is if some cell designs may be better - say lifepo4 cells that provide compression as part of their packaging or particular terminal types to avoid, etc.

I would use a FLA for engine start, as the starter is very high inrush. Plus if a BMS disconnected a battery at the inopportune time, it could blow the diode pack in your alternator. You can do it all with Lithium but you would need a huge BMS for starter inrush. Most folks I know using lithium are using lifepo4 prismatic cells for the house bank. I'm still old school on the boat due to possible freezing weather. Yes I have anchored out with Ice on the inside portlights.

My standard response to boaters is to read the battery articles here: https://nordkyndesign.com/featured-articles/

PS I owned a 41 OI in the 80's
