Hi there,
I live in Europe - Balkan peninsula and want to do a small cheap 24V
PV system for a weekend house for my parents in the mountains where only lights, tv, tv box, refrigerator, fan and CCTV will be used, maybe during the day under full sun other items to be connected.
Because of the limited budget which is approximately 1200 euros I plan most of the elements to be ordered from AliExpress and Temu, maybe batteries to be purchased from amazon.de and panels locally.
The idea is four panels, each of them 550W connected in parallel, total price locally approximately 300 euro. - I can buy it locally, don't need offer.
The rest is 24V pure sine wave inverter - 3KW
MPPT Solar charge Controller - ?
2 pieces of Lifepo4 batteries, each of them 12V 100ah
Cables
Fuses
Mounting elements.
Can you please share your opinion and recommend good cheap brands, maybe links of suppliers for everything which might be needing.
I
Thank you, I hope that with your support I will succeed to do this setup with this limited budget.

Thank you for the fast replay, what about something from Germany maybe - amazon.de . Can you please recommend needed equipment( at least lithium batteries, controller and inverter) from Germany store for that budget, I'll try to organize transport

I think you would benefit from getting more battery capacity. I agree with the above comment that a 3 kW inverter is excessive. 1500W would be ample and would have lower standby power consumption. If your local costs are similar to the US, I think it will be difficult to stay within your 1200 euro budget.

I'm not sure what the euro to dollar conversion is but I built a system 4yrs ago including a fridge and generator for $1300.

For a small system like this, honestly you might be better off starting with an all-in-one system like Bluetti or Oupes or one of those. You can get a pretty powerful system under $1000 USD but your limited in expansion.

Hi there, going off grid is neither cheap or safe to use "cheap equipment".You are risking to spend more, while throwing burned out things away.Rather buy one thing after the other and add later....48V is less complicated and more reliable then 24V systems.Start with maybe 3/4 solar panels, some sort of diy lifepo4 battery bank(if you are up to it) and then a decent inverter.Anything else, trust me, you are entually going to throw away-sooner or later!Best regards Frankj
