FYI - The Champion manual states dimensions of 17.3"L x 11.5"W x 17.7" H but those are actually the dimensions for the smaller 2000W_Model 100692. The actual dimensions of the 2500W unit are 21.0"L x 13.7"W x 20.0" H which is a 63% increase in total volume. The weights are only 0.9 lbs diff. (39.5 lb vs 38.6 lb) so no real concerns there. The dimension error was confirmed by a Champion tech support rep on the phone this morning after he went over to a model 100889 unit and physically measured it with a tape measure while I was on hold for a few minutes. That was a nice touch on the customer service side and he did say he would relay to the engineers so they could correct the manuals.

On a related note, I suspect that the same stated dimensional errors apply to the WEN brand of (2350/1900W & 2000/1700W) generators that are basically identical to the Champions except for some very minor issues and apparently having cleaner output (0.3-1.2% THD for WEN vs <3%THD for Champion), regulated voltage for the WEN?? (Champion clearly states that theirs is Not regulated) and having only a 2 yr warranty vs Champion's 3 year.
