I am currently running a 48V Torqeedo 4.0 R Cruise outboard motor on 8 6V T145 Trojan 260 Ah lead acid batteries. The current batteries are at the end of their life. I purchased 4 12V 300Ah Ampere Time batteries to replace the old batteries. My current 48V and 12V chargers are not recommended for lithium. I am new to lithium batteries. From my reading it appears I need a 12V charger for individual charge and balancing and a 48v charger to charge the bank in series after use. First off am I correct about the 12V low amp individual charging then12V parallel balancing charge and the higher amp 48V series charging? Second what chargers would you recommend? Charging is done in a garage not on board the boat, so they don't need to be water proof. Battery charging information attached. 48V charging limit 58.4V.
