Charging lifepo4 batteries with generator through MPP LV6548

Hi, I was wondering about connecting my generator to the LV6548 to charge my 4 Gyll batteries. The generator I have is an inverter type but does not support dry contact start so I’m wondering if I just connect it to the AC input on the inverter and turn it on, will it just start charging the batteries to the same parameters as the dc input from the panels? I wanted check here first before I accidentally mess something up! The manual doesn’t really have any information on this.

YEs it will work.

If you apply A/C to the A/C input, the inverter doesn't know if it is GRID, Generator, or another LV6548. It just has A/C and uses it.
