I have 4-12v 100ah batteries set up as 24V equaling 200AH system running 2-300W panels. After a day of charging with no load I turn off my panels showing 27.4 on my Victron controller app. The next day I plug in my panels and they start at 26.7 and 2 minutes later it reads 27.4 why is that? Are all my starts going to be 26.xx?
Thank you!

The way I figure it, correct me if I am wrong… 25.8v = 20% (is the don’t go below mark) to the other end 26.6v = 90% (is the full as I can get mark) that’s 70% for use! That’s looking at the silver lining. Thank God for that! Just can’t make my batteries hold any extra charge. Thought they should or could, guess not but at least I have the silver lining to hang my hat on.

Your batteries at rest will settle to a resting voltage. What type of batteries are they (lifepo4, lto, gel, etc)?

Lifepo4 are my batteries
For a 12 volt its 13.2 volts to 13.4 volt with a full Battery in rest
In 24 thats will be
26.4 or 26.8 volts.
If you have a inverter on standby that willen be the 26.4 volts

For 80% that will be volt that is in use 26.4 volts

If you have float on by the mppt in your case 27volts.
So you see your float charge on that moment
